Rob is the founder and head instructor at Office Salsa. He took his first salsa class in 2007 and he’s been hooked ever since.
Rob formed his first studio in 2009 where he taught salsa, bachata and cha cha for 10 years. He has learned from some of the best dancers in the world including world champion Ernesto Bulnes, Nery Garcia, Eric Baez, Eddie Torres and Magna Gopal.
Rob’s classes are fun and active. He wants his students to take his class as an opportunity to de-stress and enjoy themselves while working up a sweat!
Dance has had a huge positive impact on Rob’s life. The dance community is truly global and Rob enjoys meeting other dancers in cities from San Francisco to Stockholm. He explains the impact of salsa on his life during his TEDxUF talk where he also proposes live on-stage to his wife (whom he met salsa dancing, of course).
When he’s not dancing or teaching, Rob enjoys interviewing world class dancers on the Latin Dance Community podcast where he is executive director. He also loves meeting new people through his Airbnb Experience which explores salsa dancing in San Franciso’s Mission District.
